HUMMUS

Drained Chickpeas
I/2 garlic clove peeled
Olive oil 1 tablespoon
Turmeric
Paprika to garnish
Salt & Pepper to taste
Water, 2 tablespoons or until consistency is that of normal hummus.
TOMATO SALSA
Again, chunky AF or full blend. It doesnt matter! Make it however is easiest for you. Like / Comment / Share. All feedback welcome
4 (good sized) tomatoes
1 (medium) red onion
1 red pepper
1 – 2 red chilli
lemon juice 1 tbsp
small coriander bunch (10 stems)
salt and pepper to taste
YUMMY YOG AND MINT
This goes really well with hot dishes, like a Curry, Chilli con carn or Meat dishes
½ a pot of Natural Greek yogurt
1tbsp mint sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Stir and Done.
GUACMOLE
This ones good half blended and half chunky. Or if you have no blender a good chance to do some Chopping Practice
2 Avocado’s
½ red onion
1 tomato
1 small green chilli
½ Lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste
COWBOY SLAW
This can be made with various cabbages or onions, you dont need to follow the recipe exactly. Here is a basic recipe to follow and get you going!
1/2 White Cabbage
1 White Onion
5 x Carrots (Peeled and grated)
1 Tablespoon of mayo or yogurt
1 Teaspoon of Mustard
Season well and combine
KICKIN' BEAN SALAD
1 tin of kidney beans
1 tin of butter beans
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 optional chilli
Bunch of Parsley or Corriander
1/2 lemon
Splash of Olive oil
This ones really healthy and again so simple to prepare. Use beans that are ready to eat and just give them a rinse as you get them out of the tin. You can mix and match any beans you like, just keep it simple and have a go!

Prepare ahead of time
If needed thse can be made well ahead of serving them, or you can make a load to have in the fridge and snck on through the week. They really are very simple and should be stress free.
Pace yourself, speed will come.
Making these types of dishes is a great way to practice some of the cooking tips mentioned in the Kitchen Efficiency section. Plus because these are cold there is no timings stress and nothing to burn!
