TAKE AWAYS COSTING MORE THEN YOU THINK

For the same price as one indulgent take away you can buy the food for a week.
Sounds obvious, but if you buy savvy you really can save so much money. When preparing food, make double portions or even tripple. Eat one, refridgerate one and freeze another. By doing this you only have to cook once, then have a meal ready for the folliwng week when you dont have the energy to cook. Also you have a meal ready to take to work later in the week or have over the next few days.
It may sound a bit samey but once you learn to appreciate your own creations that taste exactly how you want, youll be more thn happy to have it twice in one week.

PLANNING MEALS
Planning meals day by day is bit over the top for me, but if you do a shop where you have tinned goods, dried goods and some fresh vegetables at your disposal youll be able to prepare a whole variety of foods at the drop of a hat. Learning some of the simple methods on this website will mean making food from scratch will be something reqrding a money saving.
DOUBLING PORTIONS
Cooking a dish for one can seem time consuming and hard to prepare the right amount. If you double up the portions of bolognaise sauce, or chicken curry you can save one for another day. Either freeze a portion, or have it ready to take to work the next day. This is something that really becomes rewarding because you know your cooking fresh, and covering tomorrows lunch at the same time.
WILL POWER
By cooking things ahead of time for the following day or day after that you are able to reduce the amount you spend on eating lunch at work or shopping out. By having these meals ready for the following day you are also not having to use your WILL POWER to make a decision when it comes to meal times. Granted you may fancy something from the canteen or a treat here and there, but if your main lunch is already sorted your saving £3- £5 each day. Thats £25 a week, thats £100 a month, thats, £1,200 a year.
When having to make these decisions about what to have, weather to get a sandwhich, just have a snack or skip lunch all together. You are constantly testing your WILL POWER. You need to think of it like a muscle, the more you use it the more it'll wear out and the hard
