Nailing this dish is a vital starting point to some good Aisian cooking. If done correctly it can just about be served with most dishes or just enjoyed on its own as a quick snack.
Ingredients:
100g Basmati Rice
2xEggs
2 x Garlic cloves
25g Butter or one large knob
3x Table spoons of dark soy sauce
Salt and Pepper
Method: 1. Soak rice, rinse occasionally
2. Add to boiling water or fill kettle to get that speedy cooking.
3. 1 part rice, 2 part water, add a pinch of salt, bring to the boil, cover and simmer (10 mins check packet)
4. Whilst cooking, whisk eggs, chop garlic, get soy sauce and some butter ready.
5. Once the rice is done and water is evaporated, fry garlic in butter, soy, then scramble eggs and combine well.
Shortcuts:
Rinse rice before getting any ingredients out and well before you want to start cooking. Boil the kettle instead of heating in a pan.
Crush garlic with palm of the hand, remove skin and roughly chop.
